The Rock Cycle

The Rock Cycle consists of three types of rocks. They are igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. To go from a sedimentary rock to an igneous rock it is buried deep underground, heat and pressure melts the rock and changes it to magma, finally the magma cools and is turned into an igneous rock. For a rock to change from igneous to metamorphic the rock is buried deeply in the ground, over time heat and pressure build up around the rock, then continued heat and pressure cause the rock to change to a metamorphic rock. For a rock to change from metamorphic to sedimentary it has to erode and wash away the sediments stay at the bottom of the ocean, over time the pressure causes the sediments to come together and form a sedimentary rock.
